Steamboat's City has a long history, relected in the local cluture and a character of the downtown area. The Steambaot Mountain is, in fact, a range of several mountain, with a base elevation of 6,900 feet and a rise of 3,668 feet. There are 165 named ski trails and many miles of hiking and biking trails for summer visitors. Since 2007 over $30million investment in upgrades have been to the mountain, base, trail and surround infrastructre has been made since the mountain operation was purchased by new operators.
